Third mainstream Teacher – Keash NS

Keash National School – Third Teacher Granted.

Scoil Naomh Muire, Keash NS is delighted to announce we will be getting a third mainstream teacher from September 2023. We have now got 50 students attending our school which allows us to gain a third teacher. This is great news for the students, teachers and community and we are looking forward to having smaller numbers in our classrooms from September.

Congratulations to our School Principal in Culfadda N.S, Ms. Aisling Egan and the well known (and very popular) Tony Taylor (who played football with Eastern Harps for many years) who were married in kilmactigue Church recently. We wish them many many years of happiness and prosperity together.

There will be a diocesan commissioning of Parish Pastoral Councils held by Bishop Paul at the Cathedral in Ballaghaderreen on Friday, February 17th at 7.30pm.

A short message of thanks to everyone inside the parish and outside that helped in any way throughout the year 2022. It is not possible to name everyone individually, but you know who you are, I know who you are and the Lord in particular knows who you are. Thank you. God’s grace, working through people daily, is very evident.

We pray God’s blessing upon the people of our parish living inside our parish and outside, for the new year ahead.

Christmas Greetings!!!

Wishing all within our Parish and our many friends who live outside our Parish but for whom our Parish means alot; we wish you all every happiness and blessing for Christmas.

We remember in prayer all those suffering from the loss of a loved one, those I’ll in hospital, those working in our emergency services and having to work for Christmas, those who are sad and low at this time of year.

Please be mindful of anyone living alone and maybe pay a visit and spend some time with them during the days of Christmas, in particular.

Thank you to everyone that has helped out in the all so many ways throughout the year. It genuinely is greatly appreciated. God bless you all.

(There will also be a 5km walk around the Parish)

Canon Jim Finan celebrates his 85th birthday

We offer our heartiest congratulations to our very good friend, Canon Jim Finan, (presently based in Collooney and who was our Parish Priest from 1990 to 2013); who celebrates his 85th birthday. We see that his parishioners in Ballinacarrow have organised a celebration for him this morning (Sunday) after morning mass. Well done to them. We remember Canon Jim in our prayers and renew our thanks for all his dedicated service to our parish through the many years he was with us.
