Diocesan Loan – update
Diocesan Loan – Update.
Our parish was kindly provided with a diocesan loan of €55,000; received to erect the new parochial house.
When the parochial house was completed, the parish was in a position to return this loan, but urgent renovation’s proved necessary for St Kevin’s Church, in Keash and the loan facility was necessary to get those works completed.
Due to the diligent generosity and patience of the people of the Parish (and other’s associated with it), we are now thankfully and with Gods blessing, in a position to have this diocesan loan repaid in its entirety.
We would like to thank everyone who gave what they could afford and the many parishioners who participate in the Charitable Donation Scheme.
We must also sincerely thank the diocese and the wonderful support from Bishop Brendan Kelly and Bishop Paul Dempsey in their unwaivering commitment and support to this parish throughout this time. Many times this type of commitment and support from a diocese towards its people, goes unnoticed. The people of this parish want to say a sincere thank you.
Finally, Fr. Gabriel has gone above and beyond in his efforts to ensure the successful completion of these works and ensuring that the projects are paid for in full. His commitment to our parish will be recalled and appreciated for generations.
The Good News is – The works have been completed and the Diocesan loan reimbursed.
